| Remembering Rebecca is a registered charity in England and Wales (charity no1141197) in memory of Rebecca Sands who gained her angel wings on the 6th August 2010 aged 21 months. The charity Remembering Rebecca aims to raise awareness of Lissencephaly and offer financial assistance and support for children with Lissencephaly and other neurological conditions from birth to 16 years. The cost of specialist equipment is very expensive- a small hand held toy could be £100 and specialist bikes are over £1000 and to some families this is unaffordable. As a charity we aim to help these families by supporting them with fundraising events and also supplying equipment. We saw what a huge difference Rebecca’s sensory room made to her life and we want to make all children with brain related conditions have the best quality of life. Rebecca taught us all so much and was a true inspiration , we are broken hearted at the loss of such a special angel but by helping other families we are keeping Rebecca’s memory alive and helping other families and children who desperately need it. |
